The Bachelor's degree tuition fee can range from $15000 to $55000 per year whereas the master’s degree fee can range from $15000 to $50000 per year.

The cost of living includes housing rent, food, utilities and entertainment expenses.

An average monthly rent for a house varies from 700 USD to 3500 USD. In a city like New York, rent for a 900sq.feet apartment is approximately 2900 USD, 2275 USD in Los Angeles, California and 1350 USD in Dallas, Texas. Such a high cost of tuition and living is usually waived off through scholarships for international students.

 

Scholarships

As an international student, you’ll get Merit based and Need based scholarships. There are many scholarship programs like Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program, Study of the U.S. Institutes, Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) and few more that grant scholarships to meritorious non-US students. All these programs offer under-graduate scholarships as per their own guidelines and eligibility criteria.

Fulbright Foreign Student Program and Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program offer a maximum of one-year scholarship to international students in USA for research and post-graduation degree.

 

Internships

Being an intern, graduates get to learn professionalism, work ethics and corporate culture as well. Graduate can opt for paid as well as unpaid, full-time or part-time internships during summer, winter or Easter holidays. The duration and stipend vary depending on the university and organization. International students can pursue CPT for a maximum of 12 months while studying.

 

Post-Study Work Opportunities

Once the degree program has been completed, international students can take a call to stay back and work. Post-study work Visa (OPT) is available for a year to three at the most.

Most of the employers sponsor international student graduates for post-study work visa. OPT- Optional Practical Training may allow international students to stay in US for a period of 12-36 months.
